Daniele Ferrari

Daniele Ferrari has been Chief Executive Officer of Versalis SpA since 2011 and Chairman of Matrica SpA, the green chemicals joint venture between Versalis and Novamont since June 2011.
Under his leadership, the chemical company of Eni has started a strategic move from a former "Polimeri Europa" focused on Europe into a new "Versalis” through the repositioning of its global leadership and differentiated portfolio.
Daniele Ferrari is also Board Member of Cefic (Conseil Européen de l’Industrie Chimique) in Brussels, Belgium;  Vice-President of Federchimica (Italian Chemical Industry Council) for European Affairs and Economy; President of PlasticsEurope Italy and Mediterranean Cluster, and Steering Board Member of PlasticsEurope Brussels. 
With about 30 years of experience in the chemical industry, Ferrari has successfully built a reputable career in a variety of businesses. 
He began his career in the ‘80s at ICI (Imperial Chemical Industries) where he held positions with growing responsibilities within business development and management, marketing and planning.
Later he moved to UK to oversee the company’s Fluorocarbons & Lubricants business global development. Then he headed to ICI European Brussels-based headquarters to serve as Global Business Unit Director for the Polyurethanes and Derivatives business.
Ferrari's career took another turn as Managing Director of Huntsman Surface Science and later Chairman of Huntsman Performance Products based in Houston, Texas.
