Stefano Ciafani
Vice President, Legambiente

Environmental engineer, he is national vice president of Legambiente, the most widespread environmental italian ngo. He has been scientific director of Legambiente from 2006 to 2011. 
He was adviser to the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry into the illegal cycle of waste of the XIV legislature (2002-2005).
He was a member of the Steering Committee on the management of waste from electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) at the Ministry of the Environment, Land and Sea.
He is a member of the Scientific Committee of Ecomondo, the Rimini Trade Fair on Material & Energy Recovery and Sustainable Development.
He was member of the Committee of RemTech, the Ferrara Fair Congress on remediation of contaminated sites.
He edited the following books Legambiente: "Bioeconomy", published by Edizioni Ambiente; "Italy 2009 Environment Report - Waste Made in Italy", published by Edizioni Ambiente; "Exit from oil", published by Edizioni Le Balze, "Report Ecomafia" - editions 2003, 3004, 2007, 2008, 2009 , 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 - Simone Editore and Edizioni Ambiente.
He is author of numerous publications of Legambiente and articles about integrated waste management, industrial pollution, remediation of contaminated sites, nuclear, energy, water, asbestos and ecomafia.
