Dr.
Clemens Pues, age 52, Sales Director at Toensmeier Wertstoffe, which operates
sorting four facilities for the sorting of plastic packaging waste (250.000
tons capacity) and glass (300.000 tons
capacity) in Germany.
Dr.
Clemens Pues graduated from the London School of Economics and
Political Science, England, in 1989 with a Master of Science in the Industrial
Relations Department. In 1994, he finished his PhD at the Institut für Marketing (Prof. Dr. Dr.
h.c. mult. H. Meffert) at the Westfaelische Wilhelms-University Muenster,
Germany, with a thesis about Market Development Strategies of German Companies
in Eastern Europe.
From
1994 until 2001 he hold various positions within the Remondis group in the
Lippewerk in Lünen and from 1995 – 1999 he was appointed Sales Director of 3CI
Complete Compliance Corporation, Shreveport (USA), a NASDAQ-listed medical
waste disposal subsidiary of both the Remondis- and Lobbe-groups. From 1999 –
2001 he was responsible for the new branch of e-business with the Rhenus-Group.
Since
2002 Dr. Pues has been responsible for sales management for the various
customer groups of the Toensmeier Group, Porta Westfalica, Germany. This
included the commercial customers, municipialities as well as various producer
responsibility schemes in Germany and abroad. In addition, he had various
positions on advisory boards like, among others, the EAR Foundation
Elektro-Altegeräte Register, Fuerth, two PPP-organisations of the
Toensmeier-group, and different industry working groups.
