European Recovered Fuel Organisation (ERFO)

Geert was educated as a chemical engineer and started working in the plastics industry. He worked for several years as process engineer in the Du Pont Lycra plant in The Netherlands. After that he joined a consultancy firm to become an expert in waste management. For more than 20 years he has been a key advisor to national authorities in that area. For more than 15 years now he has also been engaged on a European level in the same area. Geert is Secretary General of ERFO, the European association of producers of Solid Recovered Fuel. Geert also works as Secretary General for FIR, the European representative of the recycling industry of Construction & Demolition Waste.
