Terry McCormack

Leader Corporate Sustainable Development, LyondellBasell, UK and Chairman of PlasticsEurope Waste Management Group

Terry McCormack was born and educated in the UK and is a graduate in Chemistry from Aston University in Birmingham, UK. He has worked at RAPRA (the Rubber and Plastics Research Association) on polymer characterisation and spent over a decade developing new plastics packaging at the Research and Development facility of Metal Box (now Crown) in Oxon, UK. Since 1989 he has worked for the major petrochemicals and polyolefins producer, LyondellBasell, in a variety of technical, project and business management roles; based in Italy, Belgium and the UK.

Terry has been responsible for plastics and the environment issues management since 1999 and is now Sustainable Development Manager within LyondellBasell; he is an enthusiastic contributor to European plastics association activities.
