Managing Director of RDC Environment
Bernard De Caevel is an expert, with 25 year experience and extensive knowledge of
- Life Cycle Assessment, particularly in relation to packaging and waste
- Sustainability assessment (monetization of environmental, economic and social impacts)
- Waste management, particularly in relation to data analysis, planification, decision making, state of art of technologies, technical and economic feasibility.
He owns and manages RDC-Environment, an Environmental Consulting Company started in 1992. RDC-Environment is specialized in in-depth, complex, taylor made studies for industry and government on those subjects. RDC-Environment provides practical answers.
Bernard is able to explain clearly and extensively complex questions to clients and collaborators. He has been successful as general manager and project leader within his company of almost 30 project engineers.
Major Achievements:
- Managed and conducted most of the LCA (+/-150) studies and waste management (+/- 200) studies of RDC for Belgian and French authorities
- Developed methodologies for LCA (allocation in case of recycling), sustainability assessment (valuation of employment, noise…), waste analysis (waste composition)…
- Developed a LCA tool (RangeLCA) in the 90’s and simplified tools (InstantLCA©),
