A freelance journalist and media trainer who runs The Media Coach in Brussels. After graduating from Cambridge University in 2000, Laura worked as a journalist for CNN and CNBC in London, specialising in European business news and US politics. She moved to the BBC in 2004 where she worked as the Economics and Business Analyst and as a producer for Radio 4's World at One and PM programmes.
In 2008 Laura was chosen to be a key member of the BBC'S US Election Night television coverage and reported on the Obama Inauguration for the World Service in January 2009.
Laura now works as a journalist, panel moderator and media trainer in Brussels. She reports for Reuters TV from all the major EU Summits and writes a column for Outsource Magazine. Her clients include EVCM, PlasticsEurope, DG ECHO, the S&D Group in the European Parliament, CEFIC, UN agencies, CIDSE, ActionAid, Oxfam, BEUC and Chemistry Innovation.
